Hundreds of Christians from Kitagata archdeaconry gathered on Sunday at St. Paul’s Church of Uganda Kitagata for the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the archdeacon house.
The Christians also kicked off the campaign to raise money for the project.
UGX 400m is needed for the house to be completed.
Area Christians were happy to see the project commence in such style.
Chief guest who also doubles as the area MP and Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Hon. Ephraim Kamuntu welcomed the project and called on the people to embrace it.
He contributed 100 bags of cement towards the house construction.
Millions were raised during the service and the construction of the state of the art house has kicked off.
Among the big wigs present were professor Elijah Mushemeza, former area MP Engineer Yorokamu Katwiremu, Church elder Canon Apollo Buzaare, Canon Charles Aine and many others.
