Kampala – Uganda’s President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni is set to deliver the state of the nation address, Redpepper digital has learnt.
In an statement issued Friday, the Clerk to Parliament revealed confirmed that President Museveni will address the nation come Friday June 4.
Please note that 4th June 2021 has been confirmed as the official opening of the 11th Parliament as delivery of the State of the Nation Address by H.E president of the Republic of Uganda,” read the memo addressed to all staff/Parliament Service Commission.
This follows the ascension of Rt Hon. Jacob Oulanyah and Anita Among as Speaker and Deputy (speaker) of the eleventh Parliament (2021-2026).
The two top official at the August House received their tools of power in a ceremony presided over by Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo and graced by President Museveni.
