Jinja Pastor, Wife Arrested Over Child Sacrifice

Police in Jinja have arrested a Pastor and his wife over the alleged sacrifice of their landlord’s child.
The deceased Nakisuyi Trinity Nabirye Zabella 4 is a daughter of John Mulodi a resident of Kakira market zone, Kakira town council, Jinja district.
According to the Kiira regional police spokesperson, James Mubi, the suspects Prophet Joseph Sserubiri and Felista Namaganda, Mulodi’s tenants, rented a garage and turned it into a church called Deliverance and Healing Ministries Kakira.
Mubi told reporters that the child went missing on September 30, 2021, before she was murdered.
‘’A Case of disappearance was registered at CPS Kakira vide SD Ref. 49/01/10/2021. From that time the parents of the girl and police have been going to various radio stations in Jinja and Iganga in efforts to have the child recovered in vain’’, said Mubi.
He added that Police tracked the Prophet’s mobile phone numbers, before the duo were arrested and after thorough interrogations, they admitted having murdered the child in the church with the motive of establishing powerful deliverance church in Kakira.
‘’The church (garage) had blood stains too. Police over the remains of the child to relatives for burial and the suspects will face charges of murder’’, added Mubi.
The suspects led police to the place where they buried the corpse in Wanyange Lake, while the rest of the remains were in Kinyoro in the sugarcane plantations in Kakira town council.
