Top city herbalist, David Ssenfuka has vowed to suspend administering of cancer and diabetes wonder drug if the mafia don’t stop interfering with his works. He cited some officials in the Uganda Cancer Institute as the cause of the standoff.

“We salute you once again and praise you for your vigilance in our campaign to educate and popularise our local innovations of the novel drugs that have proved effective therapies for diabetes and cancer,” Ssenfuka said.

“We have decided to come out with a public declaration of our suspension of administering Ssenfuka’s herbal drugs whose ingredients have so far struck a milestone mark of curing Diabetes and some types of cancers.

Therefore, because of our undesirability to lock horns with conventional medics who are likely to be constructive players of the advancement of this novelty is the reason why we are announcing a suspension of cancer treatment in our community research until the government generates and unveils protocols that will officially oversee human clinical trials to cause approval of Ssenfuka’s herbal medicines as effective drugs for diabetes and cancer.

“With such achievements, we have hurt some medical industrial players whose reaction is now to jeopardise the yet to be achieved certifications that Ssenfuka’s therapies are required to attain.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Pepper, Ssenfuka said ‘there is a huge smear campaign to frustrate my novel innovation, partly on account of my academic limitations and the doubts rendered to traditional medicine as primitive knowledge which can’t offer solutions to today’s scientific modern challenges.’

“Of late, a few medics from the Uganda Cancer Institute have come out with a barrage of veiled attacks against Ssenfuka’s herbal exploits and have advised the public against fascinating with herbal remedies as their situations are likely not to be salvaged by such unwise directions.

“This has been coupled with smearing some heroic medics who have lent a hand of professional practice to Mr. Ssenfuka’s administration of his herbal drug to willing participants who have approached him to be part of his research study,” Ssenfuka said.

He added: “What is important for the public to know is that, the nature of events surrounding Ssenfuka’s innovation in traditional medicine is pitying him against modern scientists thus posing a revolution which is responsible for the crude way Ssenfuka’s research has been conducted, accusing him of not following conventional research methodologies despite him writing to several government officials inviting them to render that much desired technical support.”

He said the wonder working properties of the drug were discovered as early as 2013 which journeyed silently as all major discoveries would journey.

He said it was until when it was manifestly clear that he couldn’t go further than what he was humanly able to do that he realised that only a media blitz would unravel roadblocks constructed to obstruct traditional medicine practitioners by conventional medics.

“This has been coupled with smearing some heroic medics who have lent a hand of professional practice to Ssenfuka’s administration of his herbal drug to willing participants who have approached him to be part of his research study,” he added.

“You will agree that, because of the reluctance to render the coveted support, is the reason why Ssenfuka has adopted all means available to him to popularise his discovery. It is no doubt that cancer is a national pandemic yet to be officially declared, which requires urgent management by procuring all means available to get effective cures for it. Just a while ago, President Trump issued an emergency-use authorisation executive order reducing the length of time a drug is supposed to spend on clinical trials from 18 months to 3 weeks of approval when trials for a Covid-19 vaccine were an emergency requirement,” he said

Ssefunka wondered why his herbal remedy is not being given attention like that of COVIDEX.

“We understand that President Museveni issued an order in favour of Dr. Ogwang’s Covidex trials given the emergency nature of managing Covid-19 and it must be one of the reasons why Covid-19 deaths reduced.”

“We implore all stake holders to induce the President to issue a similar order in favour of Ssenfuka’s long awaited clinical trials for his medicine to address the cancer impasse. We think that save for ill intentions and saboteurs, we see no reason why Ssenfuka’s novelty has not been given attention,” he warned.

Ssenfuka has been at war with Uganda cancer institute over his herbal remedy.

The man whose herbal remedy heals diabetes and cancer says some officials at cancer institute have been threatening him to stop administering his herbal concoction.

‘Some people at the cancer institute are not happy with what am doing. They are not happy that patients are running away from the hospitals for the concoction,” sources close to Ssenfuka said.

Senfuka is the proprietor of Leona-NNN-Medical Research and Diagnostics center that produces herbal drugs that government recently said has the potential to treat cancer and diabetes after the National Chemotherapeutics Research Institute (NCRI) duly conducted preclinical analysis on the firm’s herbal products.

Sources close to Ssenfuka said officials at the cancer institute are not happy that patients who failed on chemotherapy, get healed as soon as Ssenfuka administers his herbal remedy.

“Over 400 patients have bene cured, even those who were on chemotherapy and at stage 4 in different hospitals,” sources said.

Officials said people like Buganda elder, Kasole Lwanga who was almost dying of cancer is up and running after using the remedy dubbed SD218.

Ssenfuka said after the discovery of SD218 Herbal remedy, he wrote to Uganda Cancer Institute seeking for partnership but has never gotten a response upto now.

“Its almost five years now since I wrote to Uganda Cancer Institute seeking for partnership! Still waiting for their response. It’s very absurd,” he said.

However, Ssenfuka was quick to add that he is ready to work with anyone willing to support his research,” he said.

Sources said if the government doesn’t intervene, some people are likely to lose their lives.

“The situation is very bad. Government needs to intervene and do something before blood is shed,” the source said.

Ssenfuka recently told journalists that he has been receiving death threats on his phone over his herbal remedy.

“One told me he had been hired to kill me. He described how I was dressed and repeated the statements I had made during the day,” Ssenfuka told journalists.

The herbal researcher claims he has also been trailed by unknown people that he suspects want to finish him off over his herbal remedy.

According to Samuel Ampaire, one of the staff at Ssenfuka’s company, the death threats are sent from outside Uganda.

The senders were sending him death threats ordering him to stop his research projects or else him and his staff would lose their lives,”Ampaire said.

Ssenfuka says that whereas there is other research projects they have embarked on, they feel their life is in danger and they might ponder fleeing the country for their own safety.

“If security concerns are not addressed, we are considering halting our research projects and services to the patients. Should we get asylum in any country, we will relocate and develop our herbal formula from that country,” he said.

Ssenfuka recently dragged government to court for failure to clear the herbal formula that he says treats cancer and diabetes and has been able to effectively cure prominent people including retired High Court Judge, John Bosco Katutsi.

Government later through the Attorney General admitted that National Chemotherapeutics Research Institute (NCRI) had duly conducted preclinical analysis on the firm’s herbal products and found out that they have the potential to treat cancer and diabetes.
