Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Minister John Nasasira has denied social media claims that announced his death last night.

Information that went viral on social media last night indicated that he had died in a hospital in India.

In a video clip posted on social media today morning, Nasasira said that he alive and will be fine soon.

“Am here in the UK and it’s now midnight but i couldn’t seat down, hear or see people on social medias spreading false rumours that am dead. I pray to God that he gives them a hard life by time. I want to take this time and say to all of you that am alive and that I will soon be fine,” he said.

In a July 30 letter, Nasasira who is the Member of Parliament for Kazo said that he went through a successful surgery in June and that the second surgery will take place between September and October.

It is the second surgery that is taking place in London.

“I will not be physically available in the constituency during the campaign for NRM primaries. I was therefore convinced that my candidature will be untenable,” he said.  Nasasira before bowing out had represented the people of Kazo County since 1989.
