REPORTS: Anyau Dumps Broke Express FC For Lowly Baza

Information from our rumour-mill reveals that Frank Anyau, the Express FC head coach has run away from the Wankulukuku based side after realizing they might fail to raise a team for the second round of the FUFA Super League.

He was sighted at Big League side Baza Holdings’ training whom he is understood to have agreed to coach.

Express FC, a former top team in Ugandan football, completed the first round of the league at 13th place, a position the former coach says is good considering the conditions at the club though he could not deny or acknowledge throwing in the towel.

“The situation at Express is pathetic. I do not even care what happens anymore,” he told RED Pepper Online Sport.

“For the case of finding a new coaching opportunity, am yet to reveal that to the media but still i wont tell you that am comfortable at Express FC.”

In an earlier interview, Anyau had said the players, who have been at the club for a longer period, have not been paid for 15 months, while the new players and the coach are now five months without pay.

Over 10 players recently abandoned training over non-payment of their salaries.

When contacted for the club’s position, the secretary Patrick Kalungi refused to comment.

“I don’t want to say anything in regards to Express FC now,” said an elusive Kalungi.
