Atlanta Airport Offers Flights To ‘Wakanda’

An airport in the United States has offered imaginary flights to the fictitious country of Wakanda and many on the internet have loved the joke.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is getting into the Marvel movie spirit by jokingly offering flights to Wakanda — the fictional country from the movie Black Panther.

The airport tweeted out a digitally altered image of gate T3 showing its destination as Wakanda, the kingdom ruled by King T’Challa, aka the Black Panther, in the eponymous super hero film.

“The bags are packed #WakandaForever,” the airport tweeted.

The tweet drew the attention of star Lupita Nyong’o, who jumped on the joke with her own string of puns based on character names from the film.

“Apart from La Femme Nakia, what else is on the in-flight entertainment? T’Challa’s Angels, M’Baku To The Future, Shuri’s Gotta Have It, Killmonger Bill, W’Kabi In The Woods…?” she wrote.

  1. To those who may not know, there is a decades running joke about that airport, that they will offer you a flight to anywhere, any time including to the outer space. This airport, i think the home to united Airlines or Delta?…is so busy that teach minute, there is a plane landing and another one taking off. I found it interesting.
