Besigye Beats Police surveillance, Visits Sejusa in Ssembabule

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC)’s Dr. Kizza Besigye yesterday outwitted police surveillance that has been trotting after him to visit his renegade General, David Ssejusa aka Tiyenfuza at his ancestral home in Ssembabule district for a thanks giving ceremony.

The two last meet each other before the February 18th presidential elections.

Before elections Sejusa was sent to Luzira prison while Kizza Besigye was incarcerated at his Kasangati home immediately after elections for more than 40 days.

Besigye was accompanied by Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago.

“We’ve had a great day at Nkoma village in Ssembabule District where Gen. David Sejusa hosted us to a thanksgiving fete,” Erias Lukwago said yesterday evening.

Adding; “I felt gratified and elated when the family donated to me a bull in appreciation and recognition of the vital role I played in securing his release from jail, at such a critical time when he was being persecuted and abandoned by his bush war comrades.”

Lukwago noted that Gen. Sejusa made stunning revelations on how NRM government functionaries plotted to eliminate him when he was exiled in UK and how most recently, he survived being poisoned while in Luzira prison.

“I was equally impressed by his renewed commitment towards the struggle for restoration of democratic governance and rule of law in our country.”
