Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Dr. Kizza Besigye has said change will come in short time if elected president to an extent that people will be walking with swag.

The three time contestant who is tussling president Museveni for the fourth time made the remarks yesterday while addressing a rally in Nakasongola district.

“Life will change in a short time; you will see every Ugandan walking with Swag,” Besigye promised.

In the district, he visited areas where residents share water sources with animals as people called for Besigyes’s help.

He said noted that many people get infected with diseases from dirty water.

Besigye said Egypt does not receive rain but utilizes water from Nakasongola (Lake Victoria) efficiently which the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has failed to do.

From dawn to dust, he was trailed by Uganda police in a bid stop his entourage from visiting hospitals, schools and churches.

Last week, the Electoral Commission chairman Eng. Badru Kiggundu announced a ban on presidential candidates’ visits to hospitals, places of worship, schools and markets.

The commission directed police to enforce the orders.

“The EC has noted with concern some presidential candidates who have made it a habit of going to various hospitals and conducting campaigns amidst patients. The Commission would like to guide that hospitals are not campaign venues just like markets and schools are not,” Kiggundu was quoted saying.
