2014 Commonwealth Games stars including bronze medalist Mike Sekabembe (super heavyweight), Bantamweight king, Rogers Ssemitala, who captained the Bombers in Glasgow, Scotland were the stars at the National Boxing Union trials.
Rogers Ssemitala overcame Nassir Baashir in a 56 weight tie in a 3-0 point split victory.
During the first round in the fight, his opponent Nassir looked a threat with overwhelming attacks but thanks to the Bombers captain who managed to dodge the punched.
Mike Ssekabembe humbled Paul Kayondo in a 91 kg Heavy weight with a KO.
The two were joined by Umar Mutebi (light flyweight), Martin Omondi (flyweight), Abdu Hassan (lightweight), Mohammad Ali Sserunkuma (light welterweight), Nasser Bukenya (welterweight), Med Lubega (middleweight) and Reagan Ssimbwa (light heavyweight).
Selection of the 10-man squad followed three rounds of highly competitive trials, with the final round held on Monday night.
