‘Deadly’ Baguma sent to High Court

The former Kampala Central Police Station commander, ASP Aaron Baguma has finally been produced before Buganda Road Court this morning and his case has been sent to the high court.

The court presided over by Chief Magistrate Jamson Karemani has sent the errant Baguma to the High court to stand trial after state told court they are done with investigations.

Baguma is accused of aiding the murder of city businesswoman Ms. Donah Katushabe last year over an unresolved Shs9m debt for a vehicle she had bought from Pine car depot, belonging to Muhammed Ssebuwufu (main suspect).

Other suspect are; Godfrey Kayiza, Philip Mirambe, Stephen Lwanga , Paul Tasingika, Yoweri Kitayimba, Shaban Otuddu and Damaseni Ssentongo.

According to the Director of Public Prosecution, Mike Chibita, Baguma was allegedly seen at the scene where Katushabe was being beaten and tortured by Ssebuwufu’s men but he did nothing to rescue her, despite him being a person with authority.

He is charged with Murder, Aggravated Robbery, and Kidnap;

He has however been further remanded to prison as high court organizes the date for his appearance to answer these criminal charges against him.
