Deadly Police driver who knocked Besigye supporter Arrested

Police Constable, Benon Matsiko, attached to Kira Road police station has been identified and arrested by the police as the one who knocked down a Besigye supporter.
Matsiko has been presented to the media by newly appointed police spokesperson, Andrew Felix Kaweesi today morning at Naguru police headquarters.
This police driver used the police patrol car to intentionally knock down a Besigye supporter around Kyebando road as Besigye was driving home after his release from prison on court bail early last month.
“We have paraded this driver for public accountability. It took long because the footage wasn’t clear. We condemn misconduct,” Mr Kaweesi said.
According to the NTV video clip, after being knocked, the victim was also given a back kick by another police operative who was dressed in civilian attire.
The victim however remains unidentified up to date.
Matsiko is expected to be included on the list of errant police officers whose cases are already in court over brutalizing Besigye supporters in June.
