The Deputy Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah is off the eligible bachelors list.
Oulanya traditionally married 26 year old Winnie Amoor Okot at a colorful ceremony which was attended by Ministers, members of Parliament and local leaders from both Acholi and Lango sub regions.
The legislator said he could only afford Shs16m to which his bride’s father replied, “You cannot take my daughter that cheaply!”
Oulanyah paid Shs50m cash for his bride and will pay the Shs40m balance later.
The Minister for Internal Affairs-Henry Okello Oryem, DP’s Nobert Mao, Maj. Gen Francis Okello and Richard Todwong, the MP for Nwoya district also attended the function in Pader district.
