Dorrys Tipped to win rising star slot
Western Uganda Diva Dorrys Mutahunga is slated to win a juicy slot at the upcoming Rising Star Awards.
The awards are slated for tomorrow Saturday October 24 at the plush Sheraton Kampala Hotel.
The awards have been organized to recognize different people in categories that range from Entertainment to leadership and entrepreneurship.
Several artists and inspirational young leaders like current Speaker of the East African Legislative Assembly, Dan Kidega, have been nominated.
Voting is by online on the facebook page; Rising Star Awards by posting a hashtag name of a prospective winner.
In the case of Star singer Dorrys, her hashtag is #RSADORRYS, the artist told Red Pepper online this morning.
Her hashtag overwhelmed the RSA page this morning after she asked her fans to vote her as many times as possible.
She told her fans:
“The last time you voted, the award came home. 2 days to the Event I trust
We can make this happen*Please Type: #RSADORRYS #IamDorrysmymusicmyheritage.”
Dorrys is nominated under the Category of Regional Rising Star- Western Region.
She implored her fans to vote before the process closes at midnight.
