FUFA Names Basena As Micho’s Assistant
Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has today morning announced Moses Basena the new assistant manager to National team head coach Mulitin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic at the Federation head offices.
The Simba FC boss replaces Kefa Kisala who has taken a new job as head coach for U-20 (the Hippos).
Basena returns to the post for a second time having served as an assistant to former Cranes Head Coach Bobby Williamson in 2011 before switching to Simba FC of Tanzania.
“It a pleasure to me that the Federation has once again appointed me to serve the National team, am happy for the job and we are to put much emphasis at seeing the Cranes deliver. I personally will work to prove those who have put faith in me,” said Basena.
Meanwhile his newly contracted job at the National side won’t stop him from serving the Army side Simba FC.
His role will start mid this year when the national team begins their campaign for the 2017 AFCON qualifiers.
On the other side Fred Kajjoba head coach at UPL side, Bright Stars has retained his position as the goal keeping coach while Ronald Kisolo is still the National team Doctor.
