Heavy Police Deployment As FDC Bosses Meet Besigye In Kasangati

Top Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) members are in Kasangati to meet Rtd. Col Dr. Kizza Besigye.

Uganda Police has deployed heavily around Kizza Besigye’s home.

The Members include party president Rtd Major Gen Mugisha Muntu, Reagan Okumu, Wafula Oguttu, Ingrid Turinawe and National Chairman Wasswa Birigwa.

This website understands that only FDC national chairman Wasswa Birigwa and Wafula Oguttu were allowed to enter Dr. Kizza Besigye’s home but without their cars.

FDC president Rtd Major Gen Mugisha Muntu has been blocked from entering with other party bosses though he is still negotiating with Uganda Police officials.

Prior to the Kasangati meet, FDC top leadership met to discuss the party’s electoral petition against the conduct and result of the 2016 presidential elections in which the party was represented by Dr Kizza Besigye.

The party heads say they intend to file their petition by 5pm today.
