IS YOUR NAME THERE!! MUK Private Admissions List Out

Makerere University Kampala has released the list of students admitted under the private sponsorship programme academic year 2016-2017.

The list shows that the university has this year admitted a total 15,976 students on the private scheme in addition to the 2,000 who are sponsored by the Government.

Charles Ssentongo, the deputy registrar in charge of undergraduate admissions yesterday told Red Pepper that students wishing to pursue their degrees at the country’s oldest institution on private scheme should start picking their admission letters next week.

He said all freshers are expected to report on 6th to undergo the orientation week that will go up to 12th August, before continuing students can report on 13th.

“Registration will commence on Monday, 8th August. Ensure that you complete all the required registration formalities within the prescribed time in order to avoid disappointments later, “he added.

With the fees policy all freshers are required to pay 60% of tuition together with functional fee before they could register. It should be noted that Makerere University this year used online system to admit all the students as opposed to the traditional manual.

Students who will not find placement in public universities can try in the 22 private universities.
