Members of the Jobless Brotherhood have stormed Jinja Police Station, demanding for the release of their colleagues who were arrested by Police over the weekend for allegedly calling the Speaker of Parliament, Rebecca Kadaga, a pig.

Led by their leader Norman Tumuhimbise, the youth on Tuesday told the Jinja District Police Commander, Felix Mugize that they want Augustine Ojobile and Robert Mayanja released unconditionally or else they drop more piglets all over Jinja town.

Ojobile and Mayanja were arrested on the orders of Jinja Deputy Resident District Commissioner, Erick Sakwa, after allegedly calling Kadaga a pig while on a radio talk show in Jinja and were taken to Nalufenya Police Detention Centre.

“We want to warn Kadaga that we have since withdrawn the title honorable from her because of her unbefitting conduct,” Tumuhimbise said.

“We are aware that she is going to open a hospital, she shouldn’t be surprised when she is greeted by a 1,000 piglets there if our concerns are not responded to”. He added.

DPC Mugizi, said the youth were inciting violence and that’s why they were arrested. Their case files have been sent to the State Attorney and could be taken to courts of law.
