Yesterday, the Directorate of Public Prosecution slapped murder charges on Kanyamunyu and they are expected to start filing their defense today.

Kanyamunyu and his Burundian girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari are accused of shooting dead Akena at Game stores on November 12  and have since then been in police custody.

Apart from Kanyamunyu and girlfriend, his brothers; Joseph Kanyamunyu and Moses Kanyamunyu were also picked by police on Thursday to help with investigations.

Meanwhile, police claims that it has case file ready, though it is alleged that it failed to find the killer gun and no blood spots were found at the crime scene.
