Kato Lubwama Quits DP, Says it’s too dirty

Bulange based CBS comedian Paulo Kato Lubwama has called it quits with DP.
In an a phone interview with Red Pepper online this week, Kato Lubwama who has been fighting to challenge Rubaga South MP Ken Lukyamuzi on the DP ticket said: “I have given up on those DP things because those guys are very poor and disorganized. They have mistreated me yet I have been the one making them benefit from my brand. They gain from me much more than I gain from them. So because of that mistreatment I have decided to contest as an independent because I’m sure I’m popular enough to win without DP ticket.”
We had called to ask him to react to reports that he and his supporters had been decisively defeated in the ongoing grass root elections of DP which is part of the process to become a flag bearer.
“DP politics is too dirty and yet you are always using your money. You are expected to do a lot of work and nobody facilitates you. Instead people expect money from you,” said Kato Lubwama who is likely to lose the DP primaries to city lawyer Xavier Katabalwa.
