Kenyan Volleyball Team Buoyant

The coach led the 12 players to the Uganda capital on Tuesday morning. They will go against Tanzania, Burundi and the hosts in the two day event.

The travelling team consists of Cornelius Kiplagat, Cornelius Lagat, Alex Kariuki, Daniel Kiptoo, Elisha Aliwa, Philip Maiyo, Ibrahim Oduor, Saul Wafula, Sila Makiso, James Ontere, Dennis Mokua and Mike Chemos.

Of the initial team of 14 the coach dropped centre Wesley Rono of General Service Unit and Kenya Prison’s Peter Kibata who is a libero.

“We were forced to make hard decisions since all the players are good. However since we have limited spaces we have to make such decisions.” the head coach told reporters before boarding for Kampala.

“I am confident that we will play all our matches and win the championships.” Chenje concluded.
