A man in Kabale district has been arrested by the Police for defiling four pupils.
Kenneth Kyarikunda (27) is being held at Kabale Police station for allegedly defiling four pupils aged between six and eleven.
The suspect is a peasant and a resident of Kyafugwe village in Muko Sub County, Kabale district.
Kyarikunda is said to have on different occasions defiled the victims who are pupils of Kyenyi Primary school. He committed the offence between the months of January and Apirl 2014.
The suspect would lie and wait in a bush for the victims who would be searching for firewood and defile them.
The victims told Police that he would threaten to kill them if they revealed what he had done to them.
The Pupils decided to report the matter to their teachers who in turn informed their parents. Police then moved in to arrest Kyarikunda.
Kigezi regional Police spokesperson Elly Maate confirms the arrest and says police is conducting investigations before the suspect is produced in court to answer the charges against him.
