Many Feared Dead As Bus Overturns In Kiboga

The Hoima bound bus was travelling from Kampala.

Scores are confirmed dead following a bus accident in Kiboga this evening.

The ‘Hoima Coaches’ Bus registration number UAK 278K overturned several times along lunya near Lwamata trading center in Kiboga district. The Hoima bound bus was travelling from Kampala.

The Regional spokesperson Phillip Mukasa said the Bus Driver swayed off the Road while attempting to save the life of a pedestrian who was crossing at the time. He then lost control of the bus.

Teams are still on the ground attempting to rescue victims who are stuck under the wreckage. By the time of filing this Report, at least three bodies had been retrieved and 20 others rushed to hospital in critical condition.

Authorities fear that the number could be rise.
