Ankunda argues that the former Prime Minister and National Resistance Movement (NRM) general secretary should chill after a dismal performance in the presidential elections.

He scored 1.5 percent according the results announced by the electoral commission.

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) President Mugisha Muntu said government made it very difficult for the party to file a petition against the elections rejected by the party.

FDC candidate Kizza Besigye scored 35 percent but has been placed under house arrest for the past two weeks.

Amama Mbabazi on Tuesday evening filed a petition in the Supreme Court.

He is challenging the election of Museveni as President who scored 60 percent and is seeking its annulment.

After the petition filling by his lawyers, Mbabazi said; “the petition is supported by very clear and credible evidence that has been scrutinized by a team of legal experts to prove that this election was fundamentally flawed.

Mbabazi said he has “faith that the honourable court is competent and independent enough to deliver a fair judgment within the stipulated 30 days.”
