Mmamba-Kakoboza Pays Visit To Owek Ssebana Kizito

Grand children of Jjajja Nankere of the Mmamba-Kakoboza clan paid a courtesy visit to Owekitibwa John Ssebaana-Kizito at his office (State Wide Insurance Co. – SWICO) at SURE House on Bombo Road.

They were led by the Mmamba-Kakoboza clan head Nankere Moses Kanoonya Ntutumo in company of the clan Katikiro – Herbert Miiro Mulindwa and many others.

The purpose of their visit was to thank the aging Ssebana for the work is still rendering to the nation-Uganda, Buganda and his clan Mmamba-Kakoboza in many areas of development and sports.

The entourage was introduced by Owessiga Nsanja – Fredrick Ssebuguzi.

Katikiro Herbert Miiro Mulindwa and Ssabalangira Fredrick Kkuma-Omwami spoke first on behalf of the clan and Omutaka Nankere summed up by introducing again his top clan heads around and as other previous speakers praised and thanked him for all that he has done and still doing for Uganda, Buganda and more especially his Mmamba-Kakoboza clan.

He was presented with gifts; a branded glass, cup, plate and plaque plate on a board.

All these were branded with the clan totem the Kakoboza, his photo and the wording of “okusiima emirimu emirungi gyokoledde e Kika kyo ekye Mmamba-Kakoboza.

In his acceptance speech, he said that he has been overwhelmed by the surprise visit and the gifts and the spirit in which they have been presented to him when he is still alive other than good speeches at his grave.

He said that he will show them to his children and grand children and urge them to emulate him and work hard for the clan.

He apologized for not receiving the entourage at his home in Muyenga or his country home in Bulemezi due to avoidable circumstances. However, he promised that GOD willing; that will be fulfilled later so that eats and drinks will be shared.

He thanked Omutaka Nankere Moses Kanoonya Ntutumo for his able leadership which has steered the clan to where it is in a very short time since Kabaka commissioned them.

He apologized for absence at clan meetings and other functions due to his poor health, but he promised to always do whatever he can in his means to support the clan programs.

Owek.Jon Ssebaana-Kizito is a son of the Late Ernest Muwanga Kitaka and the Late Tolophaina Nakanwagi.  He hails from ” Omutuba gwa SEGOMA and E Ssiga lya SSEBAANGA mu Kasolya ka Jjanja NANKERE e BUKEREKERE – BUSIRO.

He is also the Chairman of the Bika Football Committee (BFC) which he has served diligently.
