Nicholas Ssebwato Out Of Villa

Uganda’s record domestic league winners SC Villa are looking for a perfect replacement following the departure of goal keeper Nicholas Ssebwato who has now penned a two year contract with Tanzanian based club, Coastal Union.

The departure of Ssebwato comes just a few weeks after the club’s long serving player and Captain Isaac Kirabira announced that he is leaving the club with Erisa Ssekisambu the club’s best player for the season 2014/2015.

The two players are set to join 2014/2015 champions, Vipers SC.

Ssebwato signed for SC Villa after he was released by KCC FC at the beginning of the just concluded Uganda Premier league season.

Evidence to confirm Ssebwato’s move to the Tanga based club comes after the player featured in Vodacom premier league friendly match against Azam FC that saw Coastal Union lose by one goal.

Coastal Union is under the management of another Ugandan and former Cranes assistant coach Jackson Mayanja.

“Ssebwato is a Coastal Union goalkeeper. He signed a two year contract and we are eager to work with him,” Coastal Union goalkeeping coach Fred Lumu confirmed.

Ssebwato had formerly played for UTODA FC , KCC FC before switching to Villa Park  and he was among the best goalkeepers in the 2014/15 Ugandan Premier League (UPL) season conceding only 18 goals.
