NIGERIA heads into the upcoming World Cup in Russia with its back against the wall with pundits giving it minimal chance of making it out of the group stage.
However, the underdog status hasn’t hampered fans from rallying around the team and it’s all due to its ultra-impressive jerseys.
Teams began displaying their new kits for the World Cup, but none had a greater reaction than those of the team known as the Super Eagles.
A fluorescent lime green retro shirt became the hottest item on the market and a staggering three million pre-orders ensured the tops sold out in mere minutes.
Unfortunately for fans eager to get their hands on the amazing kit, Nike stated it has no plans for a restock.
Meanwhile, the super Eagles named the following squad on Sunday to compete at the World Cup in Russia this month:
Goalkeepers: Daniel Akpeyi (Chippa United), Ikechukwu Ezenwa (Enyimba), Francis Uzoho (Deportivo Coruna)
Defenders: Chidozie Awaziem (Nantes), Leon Balogun (Brighton & Hove Albion), Tyronne Ebuehi (ADO Den Haag), Elderson Echiejiole (Cercle Brugge), Brian Idowu (Amkar Perm), Kenneth Omeruo (Kasimpasa), Abdullahi Shehu, William Ekong Troost (both Bursaspor)
Forwards: Odion Ighalo (Changchun Yatai), Kelechi Iheanacho (Leicester City), Alex Iwobi (Arsenal), Victor Moses (Chelsea), Ahmed Musa (CSKA Moscow), Simoen Nwankjwo (Crotone).
