Picture of Dead Body Circulating in Media is Aine’s —Twin Sister

Ritah Babirye, twin sister to missing head of Amama Mbabazi security team has confirmed that the dead body circulating on social media is his brother, Christopher Aine.

Ms. Ritah Babirye Aine, a twin sister to Christopher Aine was today quoted in local newspapers saying “I am the twin sister of Aine. According to the photo in the newspapers, this is Christopher Aine,”

She opined that her brother has a scar above the eye which he got in an accident and a gap between the teeth; these features are visible on the picture of the dead body being shared on social media.

Earlier today relatives to Christopher Aine, stormed the Central Police Station, Kampala demanding to know their son’s whereabouts.

Amongst the relatives was Jennifer Namuleme, Aine’s mother who was accompanied by her daughter Ritah Babirye Aine.

The relatives believe that police knows where Aine is.

Police denies the claim.

The relatives also checked Mulago mortuary to see if they could discover their son’s “dead body.”

Social media is awash with photos of a dead body alleged to be that of Aine.

His whereabouts continue to dominate political discussion.

Police has on many occasions denied being behind Aine’s disappearance while Mbabazi camp say police arrested him.

Inspector General of police Kale Kayihura while delivering New Year message said police “will give 20 million shillings” to whoever has information regarding Aine’s whereabouts.

“Police has issued notice to the public appealing for any information as to his whereabouts so that we apprehend him to answer charges relating to the incidents of beatings in Ntungamo district. We have put a reward of Shs20 million for anyone who can help Police with information leading to his arrest and prosecution,” he said.

Aine was last seen in public of 17th December, 2015.
