The Police top management through the Director of Human Resource Administration Moses Balimwoyo has transferred 88 police officers barely two days after the appointment of a new Inspector General of Police.
The transfer affects mainly those officers between the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) and Senior Superintendent of Police. Most of those transferred have been on course.
Among those transferred is Bernard Mugerwa, who moves from the post of Divisional Police Commander-DPC Kabalagala to Butaleja.
The message also brings back Patrick Onyango to Kampala Metropolitan Police as the spokesperson from the Office of the Inspector General of Police where he has been in charge communication.
A Source at police headquarters told Uganda Radio Network that the transfers were left in pipeline by the outgoing IGP Gen Kale Kayihura but had been edited before being released.
