By Serestino Tusingwire

Johnson Thembo Kitsumbire, the Prime Minister of the troubled Rwenzururu Kingdom has been whisked away from his residence in Kasese town to Kasese police station over unknown reasons.

According to the eye witness, men in civilian clothes believed to be security operatives picked Kitsumbire and within a minute dropped him in a private car registration number UAK 164R in which they drove him to police.

According to Police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi, Kitsumbire is currently in police custody and the reasons for his arrested will be communicated later.

Kitsumbire is more likely to be added on the big number of royal guards who were arrested during their clash with security.

On Wednesday, 152 royal guards alongside their King Charles Wesley Mumbere appeared before Jinja magistrates’ court, and were charged with a number cases including murder, aggravated robbery and terrorism.
