Sc Villa Unveil Antonio Flores as New Coach

Uganda Premier league record winners, Sports Club Villa has officially unveiled Spanish national, Antonio Flores as the new club head coach for the next two years.

Flores was introduced to the media by the Club president Engineer Ben Misagga at Pope Paul hotel in Ndeeba Kampala on Tuesday morning.

The Spaniard will be assisted by Francisco Martinez Sariawo (first assistant)  and Ibrahim Kirya (second assistant)  with former SC Villa legends Phillip Ssozi and Phillip Obwiny handling the training and technical roles respectively.

“SC Villa is a legendary club with history attached on it in Ugandan football; we need trophies at the club. Your first test starts with the Iddi Cup against Maroons,” Misagga said.

Flores in his brief address pledged to transform the club and to restore back its glory times as a way of keeping its legacy.

“We are proud to be at SC Villa. We are eager to bring back success and first task will be focused on team building,” Flores promised.

His assistant, Sariawo, also hinted on building a winning empire at SC Villa.

Tasked on how he will venture on the African front, a continent he has never coached, Flores assured the media that his experience at developing young players will be key in that regard.
