Seven pupils have been rushed to the Bombo Military hospital after taking water from a spring suspected to be poisoned. Fred Enanga the Uganda Police spokesperson while addressing journalists at the police headquarters in Naguru said that the affected kids were residents of Kiyana Village, Sambwe Parish, Nyimbwa Sub county in Luwero District.
It is believed that Samanya Gertrude 10, Nakyanzi Jennipher 13, Namukasa Rita 9, Samanya Frederick 8, Kansasire Davis 8, Nabanda Sarah 8 and Nayona Fatuma 7 who are pupils of Ebony Nursery and Primary School fetched water from a spring well that is contaminated with poisonous elements. Police suspects that a flower farm belonging to Tamale Jamil a resident of Maganjo that is located at the periphery of the spring might be the cause of the pollution that resulted into this incident.
