The end justifies the means, it is said and SMS One boss, David Mushabe knows exactly that.
Information reaching us is that Mushabe has skewed his business lane to another new venture.
He is set to introduce a new money making business that will engage school children.
The venture called Mixakids will break the monopoly that has been enjoyed by Joseph Masembe known to organize school children business inventions notably ‘My Kid is a Superstar.’
We have learnt that he is set to unveil a digital publishing platform for school children. Under that arrangement, children will write stories that will be sold on multimedia platforms within the East African region.
Mushabe has partnered with different regional schools that will have pupils send stories which will be published into small illustrated digital books and sold on the internet.
Pupils will be registered on his platform to be able to send their stories and an account opened to deposit money accrued from the transactions generated from a story sent by a pupil.
This new venture is integrated with several financial institutions to allow anyone to buy the book from the Mixakids Website.
Sources reveal that top tradition primary schools in the country have already come on board.
We have also learnt that Mushabe is set to organize a free e-learning expo on the 20th June at the Uganda Museum to demonstrate the progress of this new venture to several children and parents who have not been aware of this project that will enhance literacy and a reading culture among school going children.
