Fresh from inspiring Gor Mahia to the Kenya Premier League title, Daniel Sserunkuma has officially asked about leaving the Nairobi club for greener pastures.
Sserunkuma has been on the edge over a move away from the club, with a similar one breaking down in the mid-season transfer window where he sought a move to Armenia.
“He has handed in a request but we are not sure if he has left the country. As we said earlier, we will not stand in his way because the timing right now is good as compared to mid-season,” Gor club’s assistant Secretary General Ronald Ngala told sources in Nairobi on Tuesday morning.
Ngala also says that they will not deny him a move if the terms for the transfer are acceptable to Gor Mahia.
Sserunkuma has become a darling of Gor Mahia fans after a hugely successful career since switching from Nairobi City Stars. After being overlooked by Uganda Cranes for a while, there had been reports that the player would shift allegiance to Kenya’s Harambee Stars where he is adored.
