St. Kizito High School Namugongo , a learning institution known for integrating practical skills into its curriculum, beyond traditional academics with focus on green skills and sustainable solutions to global challenges has been awarded at the prestigious East Africa Brand Quality Awards (EABQA) 5th Edition under the Best Scientific-Innovative Secondary School category.
The East Africa Brand Quality Awards, organized in partnership with the Chartered Quality Institute and Alconext, recognize companies that demonstrate excellence across industries including energy, manufacturing, healthcare, education, and public service.
This year’s edition ran under the theme “Global Visionaries and Pioneers — Revolutionizing Quality Through Sustainable Innovation.”
This award, received by the Headteacher Kazibwe Ezekiel and the school Director Dr Fredrick Kakembo is a testament to the school’s brand’s exceptional quality, innovation, and contribution to the East African market.
The EABQA recognizes outstanding brands, achievements, and contributions in the business community towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
St Kizito’s award places them among the region’s most distinguished organizations, recognized for excellence in quality, sustainability, and positive community impact.
East Africa Brand Quality Awards offers; Enhance brand visibility across the region, networking opportunities with industry leaders, Potential investor connections, Market credibility and trust building, Platform for showcasing brand excellence.
Patrick Nsubuga, Brand Ambassador of the East Africa Quality Brands Awards and Alconext Africa, said the initiative serves as a platform to celebrate sustainable, ethical, and innovative practices that continue to shape regional economic transformation.
All winners of the Quality Seal of Excellence have an opportunity to have their brands or products represented to the international markets where they don’t exist through Alconext, Halal Research Council and Arad Branding network.
Over 100 companies engaged in manufacturing and service provision were recognised for their excellence, innovation, and contribution to East Africa’s economic development during the 5th East Africa Quality Brands Awards held at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala on Friday night.
The winners were granted a Quality Mark, which organisers said will enhance their competitiveness in African and international markets.
Stakeholders and Supporters of St.Kizito have flooded social media with congratulations, celebrating not just the award but the ongoing legacy of positive change.
Over the last 25 years since its establishment in 1998, St. Kizito High School Namugongo has maintained its position as a centre of academic excellence in Wakiso district, Kira Municipality, Central Uganda and the entire nation.
While striving to make secondary education accessible to the community and the nation, St. Kizito High School Namugongo consistently works to provide a truly holistic well rounded equality education enabling the students to unleash their full potential and fit in the highly competitive education environment.
The school is also open to learners of other religious convictions since they provide a non-discriminatory approach.
It should be remembered that at a ceremony early this year held during Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week and attended by 11 heads of state , ministers, and business leaders, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed recognized the 2025 winners of the Zayed Sustainability Prize , with Uganda proudly being represented by St Kizito High School Namugongo after it emerged among the three finalists in sub-Saharan Africa.
The school was one of the three finalists in the whole of Sub-Saharan Africa in the Global High Schools Category from the 6000 schools that contested for the award worldwide.
