A suspected bomb blast in Kampala, Uganda’s capital city has left three dead and more than 4 critically injured.
The fateful explosion happened today evening at a playground opposite Lubiri, the Buganda Kingdom headquarters in Mengo, a Kampala suburb.
The critically injured have been rushed to Mulago National referral hospital.
The deceased and the critically injured are yet to be identified.
Police has sealed off the scene as they investigate the cause of the explosion.
Eyewitnesses say that the suspected bomb exploded as kids played with what was seen as a ‘rusted metal’.
The explosion comes just a few hours to the 2016 presidential polls.
