The Corporate Games 7th Outing

Corporate games enter 7th outing as another company joins the prestigious games.

Mineral water company, NEC-Uzima is the latest company to join the Corporate Games.

Uzima is understood to have signed a one-year 2019/2020 deal with the Corporate games.

Uzima Natural Mineral water was represented by their Human Resource Manager, Cpt. Titus Muhoozi who noted that the main reason they are joining Corporate Games is to attain more mileage as a company and also support the Corporates as they keep fit.

“The main reason as to why we are joining the Corporate games is because we think they will enable us to network and do business with the participating companies” Said Muhoozi.

“The core is that we are going to attain promotion as we offer them water to the participants per outing for a period of 12 months.”

On Sunday 4th August 2019, the games entered into their 7th outing which was held at the home of the Corporate Games Uganda, Mandela National Stadium in Namboole.

The games which are held every first Sunday of the month kicked off with the mandatory Aerobics before the competitions started.

On the same day, the knock-out stages of Basketball were held;

In the quarters, Ministry of Finance, UMC Victoria Hospital, Ministry of Science and Technology and Royal Van Zanteen were all victorious in their respective fixtures.

For the semis, UMU Victoria Hospital defeated Ministry of Finance 11-8 while Ministry of Science and technology were 12-6 winners over Royal Van Zateen.

In the end, UMC ran out victorious thanks to a 23-17 win over Ministry of Science and technology.

With several disciplines now sorted, it was announced that there will be a dinner at the end of 2019 season in November, where the winners of the different competitions will be awarded and every company recognized.

The next outing of the Corporate games will be held on September 6th, 2019.

The chairman of Corporate Games was full of thanks to all the participating companies. Last but not least, the corporate Games athletics competitions continued from where we left them in the 6th outing. Companies that had qualified for the next round had their participants take part and the various races of both men and women respectively.
