A top opposition Politician identified as Moreblessing Ali has been found dead. According Police in Zimbabwe, Ali was reported missing a few days back following an argument with Mr Pius Jamba who police previously described as an ex-lover to late.
After a long week search, Ali’s body was found mutated and dumped in a well. Police arrested Jamba on suspicion of murdering the opposition activist.
She was a member of the opposition Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party.
The suspect has not commented on his arrest and police have said they will issue a detailed statement.
Police have previously said they were treating the case as domestic rather than politically motivated.
