Uganda – UK Convention Boss Woos Investors At London Expo

UK-Uganda Trade and Investment Convention (UCUK), an annual platform exhibited at the Going Global, Europe’s leading exhibition.

The EXPO is dedicated to providing businesses with absolutely everything they need to expand internationally, and trade overseas, in this uncertain economic climate. The two days’ exhibition was held last weekend at Excel, an exhibitions and international convention centre in London.

The Chairman of Uganda Convention Mr. Willy Mutenza said that the expo attracted over sixty thousand delegates, packed with leading experts, over 70 educationally-rich seminars, unlimited 1-2-1 networking opportunities, interactive masterclasses, and more than 100 of the world’s most innovative exhibitors; of which the Uganda UK convention was the only African focused exhibitor at the largest expo in Europe.

The UK were promoting its annual convention slated on the 15thSept at Troxy, a resourceful platform for businesses looking to expand Uganda (East Africa), export products, or set up overseas operations. If you want to take your business into some of the world’s most lucrative countries or exciting emerging economies, then this is the only show you’ll need to attend.

Over 200 people registered to attend the convention expressing an interest to expand or invest in Uganda.

Mutenza said “It was also promising to note that, Uganda is now known as is on top the list of fastest growing economies in the world over the next decade with an expected annual GDP of 7.5%, other African countries such as Egypt (6.63%), Tanzania (6.15%) and Kenya (5.87%) are all expected to perform well”

The Foreign Direct Investment Expo provided the UK Uganda Convention team to encourage and invite ambitious business owners, exporters and budding entrepreneurs with the latest expert guidance on the outward FDI opportunities from the UK to Uganda.

Uganda offers exporters and investors lots of opportunities. With a population of circa 38 million and GDP Growth of 5.8%, coupled with Pivotal Regional Trade partnerships: East African Community (5 member states), Great Lakes (4 member states), COMESA (19 member states) – exporters have access to this critical market of 489 million.

Of the 2.5 million businesses registered in the UK, an estimated 360,000 who have an exportable product or service mistakenly believe there isn’t a global demand for it. That’s why we are offering you a free conference to help you network and meet experts from Uganda to widen your knowledge and network of contacts and business associates.

For 2018, the event’s organisers have pulled out all the stops to provide the show’s most outstanding, export-focused line-up of advice, speakers and exhibitors yet.
