UNRA Interrogated On Its Dealings With Shady Chinese Firm
Parliament’s committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises has tasked the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) to explain why it continues to deal with a Chinese company whose credibility is in question.
China Railway No. 3 Engineering Group Uganda was one of the companies ordered to return billions of shillings they had received to compensate people who would be affected by road construction projects.
The directors of the Chinese company have admitted that they are brokers who don not run a construction company.
