Woman Thumps Tamale Mirundi At Court
Senior Presidential Adviser on Media, Tamale Mirundi was on Friday thumped to pulp by a yet to be identified woman at court.
The incident happened during a court session in which murder suspect Muhammed Sebuwufu was granted bail by High Court judge, Masalu Musene. Sebuwufu is charged with the murder of Betty Katushabe
According to a local newspaper, a wailing middle-aged woman, believed to a close member of the bereaved family, grabbed Mirundi by the collar and dragged him in a lightning fracas. This was after the motor mouthed presidential adviser had mocked the family. The reports add that onlookers dashed to separate the two to avert further escalation of the clash.
In trying to extricate himself from danger, Mirundi attempted to slap the woman but he was restrained, the Daily Monitor reports. An embarrassed Mirundi said he would have beaten he if he had the chance.
“That woman survived me. She would be no more if I had held her by the neck. How can she try to beat me? I guess she was even just paid off to wail,” he said.
