Bukimbiri by-election; NRM’s Kwizera Wagahungu nominated
NRM’s Kwizera Wagahungu was nominated on Tuesday (August 2nd) at exactly 12.10 Pm by the Kisoro District Returning Officer Daniel Nayebare.
He was accompanied by the top NRM leadership including the Party National Vice Chairman Al Hajji Moses Kigongo, Jacqueline Kyatuheire the Deputy National Treasurer,Sarah Nyirabahitsi Mateke the State Minister of Youth and Children and Kisoro Woman MP, Emmanuel Dombo the Communication Director of NRM, Dr Philemon Mateke the Kisoro NRM chairman,and other NRM district leaders.
Speaking after his nomination, Wagahungu said he was elected by the people of Bukimbiri but the Court nullified his victory vowing to reclaim the seat saying that he is to do door to door campaign as he is optimistic that the people of Bukimbiri will vote him again .
“Am going to campaign door to door, person to person to make sure I reclaim my victory the people that voted me are still there I shall win again ,” said Wagahungu.
He also says that he has the trust that the NRM party will make his win the seat again
Dr Philemon Mateke the Kisoro NRM chairman says that saying that there opponets like it or not NRM must win the seat back .

On the first day of nominations two were nominated FDCs James Owebeyi and independent Asigario Turyagyenda, others expected are Mutabazi and by close of the day .
Emmanuel Dombo the NRM director of communication warned Bukimbiri residents aganist supporting independents equating them with wolves they don’t have where they belong .
