As a majority killed their weekend with absolute boredom at their homes, true patriots went for the Kyaggwe Royal Marathon.

The marathon that was sponsored by Redpepper, Samona among others kicked off from Ssaza ground in Mukono as its starting and ending point.
The chief marathoner was Prince David Wassajja, who participated in the 21km run.

Among other dignitaries who graced the event included youth and children affairs minister, Kibuule, Tom Fisher Kasenge, RDC Mukono, Hamu Mukasa and Mukono Woman MP, Betty Nambooze who flagged off the race.

Participants registered for different races including a 5km walk, 10 and 21km run as indicated on their tags carrying green, red and blue colors respectively.
There was drama as people in their different ages turned up for the race with a lot of determination to win the 2 plots of land that Hamu Mukasa had put on stake.

Several of them turned out to be victims when they fell off the race and many others fainted one after the other. Thanks to the scouts who did a big job to bring them back to life?

Mukosi, a student from Mukono HS emerged the overall winner and bounced with his shoulders high with various prizes including 2 plots of land. First and second runner-up got a TV set and a radio respectively.

Work well done. Ham you are real. Keep it up man. Such a prize goes a long way to uplift ones life.
