URA FC, KCCA In Crucial League Ties

URA’s Phillip Sempira tries to evade SC Villas Steven Bengo in a recent FSL game

Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) FC are Leaving nothing to chance as they face Police FC this evening in a Fufa Super League match that could decide the direction of the title race.

Victory for the revenue side that represented Uganda in the CAF Champions League will see them close the gap to one point behind table leaders KCCA FC with two games to go.  URA coach Paul Nkata says his team is ready to take maximum points from a Police side that is in the bottom half of the table in the 13th place.

The likes of experienced Owen Kasule, Augustine Nsumba and in-form Erias Ssekisambu will be called in to do the magic for URA FC who reignited their title ambitions in the second round of the League after sacking Coach Alex Isabirye.

But Police who beat Victors FC 1-0 last week have vowed to get something out of this match as they are fighting relegation. Coach Sam Timbe says every point counts from now till the end of the season as he hopes to save his side from the drop.

The table Leaders KCCA FC should find an easy time against bottom placed Water FC in a game to be played at the Lugogo Stadium. Coach George Nsimbe told Uganda Radio Network that although they have dropped many points lately, he has advised his troops to remain focused till the last day of the season.

Coach Frank “Video” Anyau’s Entebbe FC will take on Bidco FC at the Wankulukuku Stadium in a game expected to be a tough contest for the mid-table placed teams.
