3 children die in Busega house fire, two nursing Wounds

Police in Busega have kicked off investigations into circumstances under which three children died in a house fire.
The tragic fire outbreak occurred at Kitaka Zone, Busega in Rubaga Division, Kampala District.
ASP Luke Owoyesigyire , the Deputy Public Relations officer for Kampala Metropolitan Police said the fire, which broke out at the home of Mr. Mugerwa Anest, was reported to authorities by Ms. Nakimera Moreen.
‘’Police from Nateete Division, led by ASP Kalyango, responded promptly, but the fire had already been contained by the public’’, said Owoyesigire.
He said three children tragically lost their lives due to suffocation caused by carbon monoxide including; Nalukwago Danila, 11 years, Lukwago Darius, 6 years and Muwanguzi Diego, 3 years.
Two family members; Mr. Mugerwa Anest (the father) and his son, Mugerwa Marvin, were rescued and are currently receiving treatment at Mulago Hospital, according to Owoyesigire,
The Police says the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
