3 Perish In Luweero Accident
Three people died on spot after a trailer rammed into their car along Kampala-Gulu Highway.
Steven Ssemanda, the CID Boss, says, “The accident occurred at Kiwumpa village in Luweero Sub-county at around 11 pm, Wednesday night, when the trailer, registration number ZD 906B, loaded with household merchandise which was travelling from Kampala rammed into an Ipsum, registration number UAR 098U, which was heading to Kampala.”
Ssemanda adds that the Ipsum rolled over several times after the accident killing all the passengers who were in it. The driver of the trailer and his passengers are thought to have escaped unhurt from the accident and are on the run.
However, Police could not identify the names of the deceased but reveals that scores of empty bottles of beers were recovered from the trailer.
The remains of the dead have been transferred to Kasana Health Center IV for postmortem.

The driving permits of those drives who do so under the influence of alcohol should be cancelled. Life can not be replaced.
