UCC Hands Over Ugx 13m Package to Masheruka Girls School

In a bid to enhance students’ access to technology and support their education, the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC) has handed over a UGX 13 million package to Masheruka Girls Secondary School. The donation includes ; a promise of some Computers to enhance digital learning and 3-year internet connectivity to facilitate online education and research.
At the handover ceremony which took place December 13, 2024, at the school located in Masheruka Town Council, Sheema District, approximately 16 km off Kabwohe–Buhweju Road , officials said this generous support will greatly improve the school’s ICT infrastructure and provide students with access to quality digital education.
‘’We express our sincere gratitude to UCC for their commitment to promoting ICT education in Uganda’’, said the school management.
The donation was personally handed over by George William Nyombi Thembo, the Executive Director of UCC. The initiative forms part of UCC’s ongoing efforts to promote digital education and community development.
Dr Catherine Nuwagira Kangume, headteacher of Masheruka Girls’ Secondary School emphasized the importance of education in fostering national development, encouraging students to make the most of the opportunity, expressing gratitude for the donation, noting that it would significantly improve the students’ access to technology and enrich their learning experience.
