Marathon for a Cause: Centenary Bank Partners with Nsambya Parish

The sun beat down on the streets of Kampala as participants gathered for the Nsambya Parish Fundraising Marathon on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Centenary Bank, a proud supporter of the event, had contributed UGX 10 million to help complete the external works and drainage systems of the Nsambya Parish Commercial Building Project.
As the Managing Director took the stage, the crowd erupted in applause. “We are honored to partner with Nsambya Parish on this noble initiative,” he said. “Our foundation is rooted in the values of the Catholic Church, and we believe in giving back to the communities that support us.”
The bank’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility was evident in its annual contribution of 2% of the previous year’s savings to initiatives focused on education, health, environment, and the church’s social mission.

This year, as part of our commitment, we have contributed UGX 10 million to this project, and we hope that it serves as a stepping stone towards the successful completion of the external works and drainage systems.”
The crowd cheered as the Managing Director highlighted Centenary Bank’s growth and reach, with over 81 branches and 207 ATMs across Uganda. “We are committed to serving and uplifting Ugandans,” he emphasized. “Our partnership with Nsambya Parish is a testament to our shared values and commitment to community development.”
As the marathon commenced, participants ran, supported, and donated, demonstrating the power of community and solidarity. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the dedication of all involved.
