Centenary Bank bags five medals for supporting small businesses and agriculture

Centenary Bank was on Monday honored with two prestigious awards and three certificates of recognition for its outstanding contributions to the Agricultural Credit Facility (ACF) and Small Business Recovery Fund (SBRF). The awards ceremony took place at Sheraton Kampala Hotel on June 16, 2025.
The bank’s accolades include the overall winner for timely and full payment of loans due to the Bank of Uganda under the SBRF as of March 31, 2025.
The bank also emerged as the 1st runner-up for Best Performing Financial Institution in the Commercial Bank and Uganda Development Bank Limited category under ACF as of March 31, 2025.
The bank also bagged a number of certificates of recognition. These include a certificate of recognition for disbursing the highest number of loans to projects contributing to value addition under ACF as of March 31, 2025.
The bank was also recognized for disbursing the highest number of loans to beneficiaries under the grain trade beneficiaries under ACF as of March 31, 2025.
More so, the bank received a certificate of recognition for disbursing the highest number of loans in underserved geographical regions under ACF as of March 31, 2025.
“These awards and recognitions highlight Centenary Bank’s commitment to supporting farmers, small businesses, and communities through accessible and purpose-driven financial solutions. The bank’s performance demonstrates its dedication to Uganda’s economic growth and development,” the bank said.
