Activist Wasswa Flees over witch-hunt ,Wanted for Promoting unwanted Social Behaviors

Up to now, nothing clear is known about the whereabouts of Wakiso based activist Wasswa Simon Nahurira who disappeared after allegedly being persecuted for promoting unwanted social behaviors in Uganda.

According to Uganda’s Anti Homosexuality Act 2023 , LGBTQ people can be arrested and imprisoned for up to 20 years, depending on the nature of their offense. Cases of “aggravated homosexuality” may result in the death penalty.

Wasswa hails from Kisimbiri village wakiso town council , wakiso district and unconfirmed reports indicate that he dissapeared after several arrests and threats from athourities .

Among the many arrests include in Kigezi region , western Uganda when he was taken to Kabale police station on allegations that he was recruiting young boys into acts of abnormality in Uganda,Wakiso police station where he stayed for weeks before getting a police bond on 22nd may 2025 among others.
